Tasks and objectives of the High Frequency Laboratory:

  • To maintain and develop the national standards (microwave power/attenuation/ S-parameters) in the high frequency field.
  • To provide calibration services in the high frequency field.
    To develop highly accurate measurement techniques and methods.
  • To provide metrological consultation and to support the industry and the private calibration laboratories.
  • To cooperate with European and international metrological bodies, for the purpose of mutual recognition of measurement results and representation of the country in metrological organizations, i.e. EUROMET, and corresponding special committees.
  • To organize and participate in national and international intercomparisons.

Laboratory Structure:

The High Frequency Laboratory constitutes one of the laboratories of the HELLENIC INSTITUTE OF METROLOGY (E.I.M.) and, administratively, belongs to the Electrical Measurements Department of the Institute.
