The
Laboratory of Temperature of the Hellenic Institute of
Metrology
(EIM) is responsible for maintaining and developing the
national standards of Greece in the field of temperature
since 1998. It is located in building A of the Institute.
It
is divided into two sections, a primary standard laboratory
responsible for calibrating standard platinum resistance
thermometers and noble metal thermocouples directly
against
the defining fixed points of the International Temperature
Scale of 1990 (ITS-90) and a comparison calibration
laboratory responsible
for calibrating various types of temperature sensors.
