As «scientific»
metrology we characterize what includes the total of knowledge
that allows to be attributed in the result of a measurement only
the importance, that is expected by the given measurement conditions.
The study of characteristics of realised measurements is highly
important for the metrology. Errors that are presented at the
duration of measurements are noise, interjections, the interaction
between meter and scale size, divergence, the precision of measurement
etc.
For the minimization of probabilities of errors' appearance, the
science of metrology is particularly strict for the selection
of measurement instrument, the methods of measurement, the reduction
of environment effection and selection of units with the higher
possible precision, included in systems of international acceptance.
For the optimization of measurement processes and the reception
of as long as possible more precise results of measurement, the
metrology deals with the analysis of causal errors aiming at finding
methods so as to avoid them, as well as the systematic errors,
whose study allows the reception of information of statistical
nature, which can be used for the determination of data of measurement
in order that the errors be as smaller as possible. metrology
is extremely important for the society, since in industry, in
commercial organizations and in institutions, the quality of products
and the guarantees they offer possess sovereign place. These can
be ensured via precise, secure and reliable measurements and controls.
